Organizing a Partners Forum for the 9WAMM

The Secretariat is responsible for organising the 'Civil Society Partners Forum' that precedes WAMM through its CSO Steering Committee, where civil society participates in the wings of the WAMM. The 8WAMM Partners Forum took place in June 2007, in Kampala, Uganda. The 9WAMM will take place in June 2010, in Barbados. One of the key entry points of the official WAMM is that every 6th speaker will represent CSOs. This process of direct access and engagement enables civil society to develop a collaborative and co-operative relationship with government for a more comprehensive and co-ordinated national approach to addressing issues of gender inequality. To find out more about host country arrangements for the 9WAMM CSO arrangements for venues and transport, contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
